TAKeOFF Network

Set out to commence in 2017, TAKeOFF brings together a consortium of experts in filarial infections. The network comprises five academic/research institutional partners in 4 countries. This multi-national network is coordinated by Prof. Alexander Yaw Debrah of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ghana and co-led by Prof. Dr. Achim Hoerauf of the University Hospital Bonn, Germany.

The Consortium

TAKeOFF consortium is constituted by the following partners:

  4. Medical Centre of the University of Munich (LMU), Munich, Germany

TAKeOFF consortium aims to make Africa and the world free of Lymphatic Filariasis and Podoconiosis

The Mission

To offer evidence-based treatment, control and elimination of lymphatic filariasis and podoconiosis in Africa through networking, awareness programs and empowering researchers and local health authorities within the African region.
